We had an unbelievable Wednesday before Thanksgiving at Millers last week .... I've never seen it so packed ... Thanks goes out to everyone who made it out and we apologize if we didn't get a chance to talk to you. Thanks EP for helping me watch my rig for from of spillage.  The Pattenburg on Saturday was another great night. We had Nasty Ned as a special guest and you know anytime that guys around it's gonna be musical magic.

I'm feeling so good every time we play. Each gig the band gets tighter and tighter. Our new tune are so good. I love em ... John Thompson sings and plays his heart out and the rest of the band just falls into place. We have a couple of cool shows coming up. Detours in Bound Brook on Saturday December 4th is gonna be a lot of fun. Then on Wednesday Dec. 8th We'll be doing something we've never done before. We'll be playing 3 sets unplugged at LNO at KCs Korner in South Plainfield .... This should be cool .... We're all looking forward to it. Then we'll be back at KCs on the 18th for a full live show. These are all great dates so try to come out and be part of it .. We love your support and we hope to make your holiday season a little merrrier

Whats up? .. Haven't posted in a while. I've been busy with life in general.

Slackjaw had rehearsal this past Thursday and it was amazing. When we all get together and write a song it's amazing what transpires. The process starts off with a guitar riff that John has had in his head. We'll take it and lay a foundation for a song. Carl will add the hook and the bridge, Randy and I will fill in the cracks....OR...Randy comes up with a riff.....Yes drummers can come up with guitar riffs. So do I as a matter of fact but the difficult part is trying to reproduce that riff in our head with out knowing how to play guitar. I can get a little closer than Randy since I have a keyboard in front of me. Randy makes all kinds of noises with his mouth to get his riff across .... It's actually very interesting but what happens is a song is born.
This past rehearsal I think we walked out with about 4 or 5 song embryo's ... We'll see if the hatch.

We're at Miller's Tavern in Annandale Thanksgiving eve. We would really like to have a good turn out for this one. Millers manager, Maria, really wants to start having entertainment on a regular schedule. The owner is a bit leery from what I understand. If we can show him that entertainment could be a good source of income for the bar/restaurant it would open the door for other bands as well so if your looking for a great night of music and friends come on in and support the band on November 24th at Millers Tavern

I'm gonna see what I can do about getting this blog out there to more people. We want to hear some input. Some ideas that people may have for the band. Song ideas, places we might be able to play, constructive criticism. Even ways to get the blog out there. All these things help us become a better band.

That's about it for now ... I gotta go to work. Hope to see you at Millers and if not have a Happy Thanksgiving

Slackjaw was hot

The Northside was off the charts .. We had such a great time playing together and our guests were havin a blast .. Nasty Ned was tearin it up with us for the first 2 sets and then we brought up Max. Max is a 15 yr old kid that smokes on the guitar ... Ed Pampani showed up and sat in on a few as well as Jimmy on some keys ... We haven't all played together for a couple of weeks and when that happens its like letting the flood waters go .. Look out....Thanks to everyone who made it out.

Make plans for Thanksgiving Eve at Millers in Annandale .. Great little road house bar and grill .. Good food and Slackjaw ... Perfect together.
